Pug Measurement Guide
Pug measurement guide

Pugs are different than "other" dogs—wider around the chest and waist, but shorter in the back. That's why canine ready to wear doesn't fit them—if you buy for the proper neck size, the item is too long, causing the dreaded "tail flip." If you buy the right length, the item is too small around the chest! It's so aggravating. But not any more. House of Marley's couture is designed specifically for the unique pug shape.

Use our measurement guide and a cloth measuring tape to take your pug's measurements. It may help to put your pug on a table to measure. Topline measurements should be taken on a standing, not a sitting pug.

But if you are consistent, your pug will soon come to realize that the fleece hoodie, sweater or walking coat you're putting on them means a reward of walkies or a car ride.

Undressing your little puglet is a different matter, but pugs learn the unclothing routine faster. Using a hoodie as an example:

Practice makes perfect! Boomer and Marley now do a little hop at the end to pop their feet out of the sleeves. And then they usually run from me.
